Arsenic and Old Lace presented by Kudzu Playhouse
Kudzu Playhouse’s “Arsenic and Old Lace,” directed by Cassidy Porter, is set in 1941 and revolves around the antics of the delightfully insane Brewster family. Two incredibly charitable sisters, Abby and Martha, view poisoning lonely men with no living family members as an act of charity Teddy, their nephew, believes he is Theodore Roosevelt and another nephew, Mortimer, comes to visit only to find a body in the window seat. The excitement ensues when the third nephew, Jonathan, returns to the Brewster home with his personal “plastic surgeon” after years of being on the lamb for his criminally insane acts. This clever comedy is sprinkled with action, intrigue, crazy antics and humor hilarious. Individual Tickets -- $10; Students and seniors -- $5. Season tickets available. Tickets on sale beginning February 1, 2013.
