Historic river cities scenic motorcycle byway traveling on HWY 61, the Natchez Trace Parkway, and winds through country roads, from Vicksburg (one of the nations's most important Civil War battlefields) on HWY 61 to Natchez (Mississippi's grandest antebellum homes open for tour spring and fall). Marvelous panoramas of the Mississippi River in Vicksburg and Natchez, then heading northeast to Jackson on the scenic Parkway stopping in Port Gibson and at Rocky Springs Park along the way; prime visiting in spring for viewing of blooming dogwoods, redbuds and azaleas.
