Arkabutla Lake

Whether it is hunting, fishing, exploring nature trails, boating, biking or just enjoying the outdoors, Arkabutla Lake provides a variety of opportunities for all outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. Many amenities are ADA accessible. At Arkabutla Lake, you will find some of the best fishing in the southeast and some of the best sailing east of the Mississippi River.  The lake is home to several species of native fish to Mississippi waters, such as Largemouth Bass, Bream, Catfish, and is renowned for producing huge Crappie.  There are more than 30,000 acres of land open for public hunting, 229 Class A campsites and 46 primitive campsites, eight boat ramps, two swimming beaches, five playgrounds, 10 picnic areas and Disc golf.  Arkabutla Lake’s Visitor Information Center is open Monday - Friday from 7:00am until 3:00pm.
