THE HISTORY OF ITAWAMBA COUNTY WELCOME CENTER The Itawamba County Welcome Center is located in the northeastern part of the state, known as the Hills regions. Perched on a hillside at the western tip of the Appalachians overlooking Highway 78, the Welcome Center evokes the antebellum South with its beautiful Williamsburg design.
