Free coffee and information are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free Wi-Fi and 24 hour security are always available.

THE HISTORY OF LAUDERDALE COUNTY WELCOME CENTER

Like the other Mississippi Welcome Centers, the Lauderdale County Welcome Center is designed to depict the antebellum South in a colonial style building complete with surrounding veranda, stately brick columns and a fireplace featuring the Mississippi State Seal. Brass chandeliers and skylights were part of the lighting design.

The Lauderdale County Welcome Center was the first Welcome Center constructed but was the second to open in February 1975. The welcome center sits on 40 acres of woodlands that showcase trees, flowers and shrubs native to the area.
