Natchez Trace

The Natchez Trace Parkway bicycle route spans 444 miles between Natchez, Mississippi and Nashville, Tennessee. All along the Trace, historical and nature attractions offer interesting breaks and rest stops.

Longleaf Trace

The Longleaf Trace is 10 ft. wide, paved running, biking, hiking, and equestrian trail. It is a beautiful, 44-mile linear park that extends from Hattiesburg through Sumrall, Bassfield, and Carson to Prentiss.

Tanglefoot Trail

Tanglefoot Trail, located in the Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area, preserves the abandoned 43.6 mile railroad corridor assembled beginning in 1871. The asphalt trail offers multi-use recreational opportunities as it winds through six communities – New Albany, Ecru, Pontotoc, Algoma, New Houlka and Houston and three counties – Union, Pontotoc and Chickasaw.

Vicksburg Military Park

Vicksburg National Military Park located in Vicksburg, Mississippi preserves the site of the American Civil War Battle of Vicksburg in 1863. The park features walking and cycling opportunities.

Mississippi River Trail

The Mississippi River trail consists of  3,000 miles of on-road bikeways and pedestrian and bicycle pathways for the recreational enjoyment, health, conservation and tourism development of river communities, river states, and the nation. The trail extends from the headwaters at Lake Itasca in Minnesota to near the mouth of the river in Venice, Louisiana.
