Life is Fragile. Love is Eternal.
Our largest production of the Season is Puccini’s classic opera.
Set in Paris during the 1840s, a group of young bohemians struggles to make ends meet…
Rodolfo, a poet, and his friends, Marcello, Schaunard, and Colline, manage to have an enjoyable take on life despite their extreme financial difficulties. During the cold winter, a torrid romance is kindled between Rodolfo and a beautiful seamstress named Mimì, but love is not the only thing lurking in the city; tragedy and sadness await them all. Come join us for this tale of love and loss that is sure to touch everyone’s heart with arias like the “Che gelida manina” (tenor) and “Si, mi chiamano Mimì” (soprano) and Musetta’s famous waltz, “Quando m ‘en vò.”
Staring the vocal talents of Ashley Bell (Mimì), Michael Boley (Rodolfo), Michelle Lange (Musetta), Travis Sherwood (Marcello), Andre Chiang (Schaunard), Stefanos Koroneos (Colline), Alexander Adams-Leytes (Alcindoro/Benoit) and Adam Meshejian (Parpignol); with stage director by JJ Hudson and conducted by Jay Dean.
Also featuring the Mississippi Opera Chorus and Orchestra with students from St. Andrew’s Episcopal School Chorus and The University of Mobile Opera & Musical Theatre Program.
