Storied Homes

While the city of Natchez is renowned for its architectural riches, one home truly stands out for its design and its history. Longwood is America’s largest octagonal home. But, interestingly, only the first floor of the home was completed, after construction was halted due to the outbreak of the American Civil War. Longwood was featured in the HBO series, True Blood, as the fictional home of the Vampire King of Mississippi and Louisiana.
