Elvis Presley Birthplace & Museum
The Elvis Presley Birthplace & Museum draws fans from around the world to visit the humble, two-room shotgun shack where Elvis Presley was born in 1935. Tupelo Hardware Company is a local, family-owned business in downtown Tupelo, where Gladys Presley bought her son, Elvis, his first guitar. The guitar was purchased for Elvis’ eleventh birthday for $7.75 plus 2% tax and the rest is history.
